These files hold the presets you saved with Save to library. In LightBurn, open Library and press Load to use the .clb file.

BeamDial gives you starting speed, power, passes and air assist for your laser, material and job, plus a test grid to burn on scrap.

  1. 1Pick your laserChoose the laser type and your machine. The wattage fills in; change it if yours differs.
  2. 2Pick the material and jobChoose the material, its thickness and whether you engrave, score or cut. Add a note if something is unusual.
  3. 3Press Dial InYou get speed, power, passes, air assist, lines per cm and a focus note, with a few AI pro tips for the job.
  4. 4Burn the test gridRun the power and speed grid on scrap, pick the square that looks best, and adjust from there.
  5. 5Save and exportSave to library keeps your settings. Export makes a LightBurn library, a spreadsheet or a backup.
Good to know
  • Press Samples at the top to see an example first.
  • The numbers are starting points. Always test on scrap from the same material.
  • Switch to My library to load or delete saved settings.
  • Your business name and Client / ID head every printout and spreadsheet.
  • Press Clear at the top to start a new job. Your business name and your library stay.
  • Only the machine, material, job and notes are sent to our AI (see Privacy by Design).
